The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) participated as a Gold sponsor of IRONKIDS

The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) participated as a Gold sponsor of IRONKIDS, a running competition which took place alongside the highly anticipated IRONMAN Championship last week, aimed at young athletes pursuing an active and healthy lifestyle in a supportive, motivational, and empowering environment.

NBB sponsored participating children from the Smile Society, who took part in a special race designed solely for their benefit, as part of the bank’s community outreach initiatives. NBB team members reiterated their commitment towards encouraging the children and provided much-needed emotional support to participants, including participating children with cancer and those with special needs. Upon completing the race, the winning children were awarded trophies and medals by NBB team members. As a sponsor, NBB’s CEO, Jean-Christophe Durand was also honoured on behalf of the Bank at the IRONMAN closing ceremony for their participation and support towards this initiative.

As an unwavering supporter of the initiative, NBB has been an exclusive partner of IRONKIDS and IRONGIRL from 2017 to 2019. Marking its 4th year as a longstanding partner, the bank’s contribution to the programme underscores its ongoing commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among youth in the Kingdom.
