NBO Extends Reach of Market-leading Electronic Remittance Services

National Bank of Oman (NBO) recently promoted its multi-lingual electronic remittance services.

As part of its ongoing pledge to open new communication channels with its customers, National Bank of Oman (NBO) recently promoted its multi-lingual electronic remittance services. In partnership with Mwasalat, the leading public transport company in Oman, NBO was able to directly reach potential and existing customers by promoting the services available through the bank’s award-winning mobile app.

Delivered in eight different languages for five hours each day during peak times, the campaign highlighted NBO’s ultra-competitive rate for remittance services and the easy process for transferring money to countries worldwide. Its success was evident as an average of five accounts registered or downloaded the NBO Mobile App each day of the campaign.

Our transfer rate is one of the most competitive in Oman’s entire financial sector and the convenience of being able to transfer funds easily through the app, which is available in a variety of different languages, will be invaluable to our customers as the world emerges from a very difficult period for many people living in Oman.”

NBO customers can easily send funds of up to OMR 7,500 from their account using the Bank’s digital remittance service available anywhere at any time through the NBO Mobile App. The app is available to download for free in several languages and offers competitive exchange rates on every transfer. The first instant transfer is free for new customers, while subsequent transfers are priced at the low rate of just OMR 1.5.

Customers can also use the digital remittance service through the NBO Mobile App to send funds to India, Pakistan, Egypt, Philippines, Indonesia and Sri Lanka.
