NETGEAR, a worldwide provider of technologically advanced branded networking and storage products, is looking to target the Middle East region’s home user and consumer segments with the launch of the latest versions of ReadyNAS Duo and ReadyNAS NV+ network attached storage systems.

Recognizing the significance of quick access and connectivity in today’s connected world, the newest editions now allows value-conscious business users and home media enthusiasts to access data twice as fast as their previous generations at a price that is 30 per cent less than its competitors. Both the ReadyNAS Duo and ReadyNAS NV+ come with a mobile application for Android, IOS, Windows and Mac OS platforms that deliver optimum 128-bit SSL access to information stored on the ReadyNAS from anywhere in the world. The release of the updated versions of networked attached storages follows a recent Gartner report naming NETGEAR as the over-all leader in global vendor revenue share for NAS/unified storage systems priced under USD 5,000.

The two-bay ReadyNAS Duo v2 and 4-bay ReadyNAS NV+ v2 systems are offered with a three year warranty and have been designed to redefine reliability, affordability and simplicity for professional and home users alike. Users will highly benefit from the newly installed hot-swap disk drive bays, automatic capacity expansion and the first of its kind USB 3.0 ports, which ultimately results in up to 20 per cent faster back ups. Both units are offered with memory capacity that ranges from 1TB to 12 TB.

“Redesigned in a big way, the ReadyNAS Duo v2 and NV+ v2 are great additions to the ReadyNAS family,” said Ahmed Zeidan, Channel Sales Manager, NETGEAR Middle East. “The sleek new interface makes administration easier than ever before and after just a few clicks through the setup wizard, the system is ready for use. Mobile devices can use it seamlessly for sharing photos with friends and family and even create slideshow of photos with accompanying audio or music.”

The completely updated interface of the two new models give users the advantage of creating a private cloud network in less than eight mouse clicks, which makes it the ideal complement for archiving and accessing multimedia files like music, videos, photos and even documents from anywhere else in the world. Both units include a ReadyNAS remote and an updated photo sharing application for maintaining print quality private photo sharing without third party services or fees. Users will also delight in the two devices ability to seamlessly stream music, HD movies and photos to any home media device like TVs, game consoles and TiVo.

“Businesses and home users are interacting with more devices, from more locations, and with more information than ever before. Sharing data between devices and locations is only getting more difficult.  NETGEAR’s ReadyNAS Duo v2 and NV+ v2 are cost-effective and incredibly easy-to-use solutions to the content sprawl problem, ensuring capacity and secure mobile access,” concluded Zeidan.
