Network International, the leading payment solutions provider in the Middle East and Africa, recently organized an information security awareness training program for all MadfooatCom employees from the Information Security department. The training session was held at Network International Jordan Academy in Amman.

The training covered several aspects of information security, focusing on application security and the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Top Ten, which outlines the most critical security risks organizations face and how they can defend against them.

Employees were also trained to defend against common cyber security threats such as phishing attacks, social engineering, and attacks on social media networks.  The training focused on the concept of layered security, using practical examples to show how it can be implemented to stop or slow down attackers and how to stay prepared with incident response procedures.

“We are delighted to share best-practice and knowledge on information security with our government partners as we support national efforts to adopt and integrate the latest technologies within the public and private sector, said Amjad Al Sadeq, Chief Executive Officer of Network International Jordan. “We firmly believe that the transition to cashless transactions will provide safer, secure and more convenient payments, and by providing this training to our partners at MadfooatCom, we aim to demonstrate our commitment to the development of the e-payment sector in the region.”

The e-payment sector in Jordan is witnessing rapid growth, and Network International has taken the lead in creating initiatives to further understanding and adoption of new payment technologies among industry partners and end-users.
