Oman Oil Marketing Company Fosters Health And Safety Guidelines In Its Annual Forum

Dedicated to providing a safe working environment for all, Oman Oil Marketing Company’s (OOMCO) Acting CEO, Hussain Bin Jama Al Ishaqi, chaired the 2021 Annual Contractor Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) forum under the theme “Toward Safety Culture”. Attended by the company’s senior management, contractors, suppliers and the company’s team, the forum provided an opportunity to discuss and address the development of OOMCO’s HSEQ policies and recognized the efforts that have contributed to achieving its track record.
“As a key player in Oman’s oil and gas sector, we have a responsibility to ensure the safety of all our team members, contractors, and customers,” said Mohammed Al Mujaini, HSEQ-T and Sustainable Development Senior Manager at OOMCO. “I would like to thank our partners for their steadfast commitment towards our safety journey. The forum has brought us together to exchange good practices, raise dilemmas and cocreate opportunities to make a difference in our industry.”
With a record of 117 million kilometers without any serious accidents, the forum highlighted the HSEQ department’s achievements of the year and addressed the challenges faced by contractors and the improved strategies put in place to ensure a zero-harm work environment. The forum also saw OOMCO recognize the efforts of the best transporters, construction contractors, maintenance contractors, drivers and station managers who lead by example in streamlining safety policies, guidelines and procedures and upheld its company values.
Today, OOMCO’s HSEQ philosophy comprises a series of international best policies and management structures that have positioned it as a leader in the field.
