Ooredoo awards its distinguished employees during annual Ghabga

Ooredoo Kuwait, a member of the Ooredoo international group, awarded its distinguished employees for the first quarter of 2016 with its quarterly Star Awards. The awarding ceremony took place during Ooredoo’s annual ghabga at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and was attended by the Chairman and CEO of Ooredoo Group Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, the CEO and General Manager of Ooredoo Kuwait Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al- Thani along with executive managers and department heads.

Commenting on this, Chief of Human Resources and Administration Services Saleh Al-Houti said: "Ooredoo’s strong performance and its leading position in market were and will always be a result of the achievements and dedication of its outstanding employees. Rewarding those individuals is one way to express our pride and satisfaction with our employees’ achievements and to recognize the hard work which is behind our success for the past years.”

The winners of the quarterly awards are: Shaikha Al Shahen and Wael Hasban from the Sales, Abdullah Mahdi and Khaled Al Dousari from the Customer Service, Rama Vunguturu from Finance, Saleh AlQaloushi from B2B, Hussain Al Qatari from the Corporate Communications, Sarah Shuaib from the Regulatory Department, Mazen Jomaa from Human Resources, Hassan Munir from Marketing and Kristoffer Salvador and Ahmad Kante from the Technology. Voice of the Customer Award went to Talal Al Mutairi and Mai Al Seaidan while Ooredoo Way Accomplisher award went to Abdullah Safar from Marketing, Bader Al Nassar from Human Resources and Administration Services and Nadia Abu Suliman from Sales.

Ooredoo presented the award of the Champions Team category, which is given quarterly to teams who demonstrate exceptional dedication above their scope of work. The award was given this quarter to a team from the B2B department for their hard work during the first quarter in designing packages that cater for the needs of entrepreneurs and small business owners. The winners of the Champions Team category were: Maryam Al-Fahad, Ali Zainal, Alaa Hamoud, Abdullah Marshad, Hussain Shuaib, Mohammed Al-Humoud, Hadia Halabi, Saleh Al-Qaloushi, Mohammed Taher, Buthaina Al-Halilah, Abdullah Saleh, Faisal Al-Kandari and Mohammed Najy. 

Ooredoo Star Awards are presented to outstanding employees every quarter. A special committee assesses all employees and selects winners based on certain competence and performance criteria.
