Ooredoo Kuwait proudly received 3 titles as part of the 6th Advertising Creativity Award 2018; a distinguished annual event under the umbrella of the Arab Media Forum. The event is organized and supervised by Secretary-General and Chairman of the Kuwaiti Society for Media and Communications Madhi Al-Khamees.

The ceremony, held last Wednesday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, was under the patronage and presence of Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Mohammed Al-Jabri. Dignitaries and a group of media and creative agencies from Kuwait and the Arab world attended as well as a number of Social Media influencers.

Ooredoo won the following awards: Best Idea for "Enjoy the Internet" TVC starring Messi and Bader Al-Mutawa. Ooredoo and the renowned Lionel Messi collaborated earlier this year, for such an amusing advertising campaign with a focus the digital world’s content.

The campaign- back then came with "Enjoy the Internet" slogan, in which Kuwaiti football player Bader AlMutawa starred alongside Messi. The TVC included some exciting and fun scenes; visualizing the concept of enjoying the Internet and communicating with others. It also pictured unexpected moments that can be shared with others. The TVC emphasizes on the importance of being connected while enjoying shopping online, downloading applications and other things that truly matter to all customers in Kuwait from all age groups.

The second Award was given to Ooredoo’s National Day TVC (عاشقين وطن) labeled as the best idea for National Days’ TVC. Ooredoo Kuwait released a new song on YouTube dedicated to Kuwait on the occasion of the National Holidays Back in Feb earlier this year. The song achieved more than 2 million views within 3 days on YouTube. The release of the song comes to reiterate Ooredoo’s commitment to taking a proactive role in sharing the joy of this auspicious occasion with the people of Kuwait.

The song, which is entitled “Devotees for a Country” was sung by a chorus of young men and women, and was written by lyricist Saad Al Musallam, composed by Fahad AlNasser. It features Kuwaiti singer Abdulaziz Al-Duwaihi, who appears in a traditional Kuwaiti

‘samra’ segment. The song features a consortium of Ooredoo’s athletic youth brand ambassadors: triatheletes Najlaa AlJuraiwi , Abdulaziz Al-Rashed and the Kuwaiti Horse Rider Rakan Al- Hassawi. The song’s video also features G7 Protoges; a youth development program sponsored by Ooredoo for years now.

Ooredoo was named the “The Best Brand in Kuwait”; an award given only to companies that uniquely assess the best services for both B2C & B2B as well as increasing the brand equity.

"I would like to first thank Mr. Madhi Al-Khamees for his great efforts -every year- in supporting and appreciating all those who are interested to take part whether from inside or outside Kuwait; across all levels and from all sectors. Ooredoo is honored to win such prestigious awards at this ceremony each year. This event is a great example of a recognition of excellence; showcasing unique and innovative ideas to our customers for national and other occasions." Said Mijbil Alayoub, Sr. Director, Corporate Communications at Ooredoo.

He added "It is the digital transformation and modern technology era, and we are committed to offering innovative and unique ideas, so the task is not easy and no longer limited to the consumer behavior but went beyond and became an awareness and national related, not just mere commercial.

"Ooredoo will continue into the journey of success and looking forward for more titles in the future. Our main interest is to be there for our customers and committed to provide the best and the latest products and services to better enriches their experiences”. Mijbil Concluded.

It is worth mentioning that Ooredoo Kuwait has won two awards recently at the Stevie Awards held in London last October. It is the world's most prestigious award given to top companies worldwide for its achievements, across all fields. Winners are carefully selected by competent committee.
