Ooredoo distributes more than 17,000 iftar meals during the Holy Month of Ramadan

Ooredoo Kuwait, a member of the international Ooredoo Group, announced distrbuting 17,000 iftar meals during the Holy Month of Ramadan through a distribution centre outside its head office and in its iftar tent, which Ooredoo is running for  the second consecutive year. The tent is located opposite Ooredoo’s head office on Soor Street in Kuwait City. The meal distribution drive is fully operated by Ooredoo’s volunteer program members, after the great success of the progam last year.

Mijbil Al Ayoub, Director of Corporate Communications at Ooredoo Kuwait said: "Ooredoo’s Iftar meal distribution is an essential part of the charity program adopted by the company during the Holy Month of Ramadan. This drive reflects the true values of giving and altruism. In Ooredoo, we strive to adopt initiatives and projects that enriches peoples’ lives, which we consider the base of our CSR strategy. "

Alayoub added taht the company believes strongly in the ability of youth to operate this initiative, and this stems from the company’s mission to help in creating a generation of people who do good deeds.

In addition to the Iftar distribution drive, Ooredoo is conducting several charitable events, such as visits to nursing homes, orphanages and patients at different hospitals across Kuwait to celebrate Girgia’n.
