Ooredoo Offers an Opportunity for Young Omanis to Boost their Employability with the Ta’alaq Internship Programme

Well, Ooredoo is happy to inform you that the wait is over! Providing an opportunity for young Omanis to boost their future job prospects through hands-on work experience, is Ooredoo’s Ta’alaq internship programme for students and recent graduates.

The Ta’alaq Programme enables interns to gain an insight into the way Ooredoo operates as an organisation, while also setting them up for future jobs in any industry, as an internship helps them build transferable skills. As a 
work-based learning experience, work placements have always been a well-known resumé builder, and Ooredoo also aims to share the achievements of top-performing interns on its social media platforms.

Sulaiman Al Mughairi, Acting Chief People Officer at Ooredoo, said “Finding a suitable job can seem like a daunting task, especially when you are still lacking relevant work experience. But an internship is a great way to get that real world exposure and skills boost, and can support students in pursuing or even discovering their true passion.”

He added, “Our Ta’alaq Programme will help students learn about the telecoms industry from experts and provides a good opportunity to network with professionals in a safe environment.”

With phase one completed and phase two already underway, the Ta’alaq internship at Ooredoo lasts for a period of two months and take place up to three times a year, for a maximum of 15 competitively selected candidates per period.
