Ooredoo sponsors Kuwait’s biggest annual festival
Ooredoo Kuwait, a member of international Ooredoo Group, announced its partnership with Hala February 2016 Festival, Kuwait’s biggest annual event which kicks off on January 28 and lasts until the first week of March.
Commenting on this partnership, Ooredoo’s Director of Corporate Communications, Mijbil Alayoub said: “We’re happy to be taking part in Kuwait’s biggest annual event. Hala Febrayer attracts people from Kuwait’s different communities, and even visitors from outside Kuwait. Additionally, it marks Kuwait’s national holidays, and this year’s program includes a variety of activities and events that range from cultural to entertaining.”
This year’s round of festivities will kick off in with the launch of Hala Febrayer camp, which will take place in Bnaider on Route 258. The camp will include a designated area to support small-sized youth projects. The camp will include educational, cultural and religious symposiums, as well as shows and competitions for children.
For all the visitors of Kuwait, Ooredoo is offering free prepaid SIM cards at its branches in Kuwait International Airport, Saad Al-Abdullah Airport, Nuaiseeb Boarder Control Checkpoint and Salmi Boarder Control Checkpoint.
One of the most attractive features of Hala Febrayer is the annual musical concerts which will be held at the Ice Skating Rink. All artists of the concerts will appear on “Studio Ooredoo,” a show that will broadcast on Kuwait National Television. Ooredoo will also sponsor “Alo Febrayer,” a daily radio game show with valuable prizes.
In addition to these events, a marathon will be held on Gulf Road between Kuwait Towers and Souq Sharq for all age groups, in addition to a graffiti competition and a show jumping competition which will be organized at the Kuwait Equestrian Club.
In spirit of the occasion, Ooredoo will organize its own employee competition which encourages employees to come up with innovative and creative ideas dedicated to Kuwait. Ideas will be judged by a panel of and winners will receive valuable prizes from the company.
