Jordan Ahli Bank sponsors Operation Smile Jordan

As part of its ongoing efforts toward serving the various segments of its local community, with a particular focus on underprivileged children, Jordan Ahli Bank recently participated as a silver sponsor in the Operation Smile Jordan campaign, which works toward securing medical aid to less fortunate Jordanian children suffering from cleft lips in Al-Mafraq governorate. The bank’s contribution came as part of a three-day medical mission held in Al Mafraq Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

The campaign consisted of surgical and cosmetic operations performed on children suffering from cleft lips, cleft palates, accidental burns and birthmark vessels, in addition to psychosocial support offered by the bank’s employees support to the children and their parents following the operations.

Operation Smile Jordan was founded in 2004 as a medical NGO operating under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, the organization’s Honorary Chairperson. The NGO is dedicated to providing medical missions including Jordanian and international teams of healthcare professionals, who volunteer their time and skills to provide free medical and surgical care to children suffering from cleft lips, cleft palates and burns. Operation Smile launched its first campaign and surgical operations in 2000, with the support of Operation Smile, Inc., which was founded in 1982 in the U.S.
