Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa (PMMAF) has launched two new cost-effective cameras with advanced features to meet the demands of the Audio-Video industry in the Middle East at CABSAT 2015. The new line-up being showcased at CABSAT, the region’s premier event for industry professionals, is the AW-HE40 series- these pan/tilt/zoom cameras incorporate newly-developed 1/2.3-type full HD MOS sensors and Digital Signal Processors (DSP) for high sensitivity, high resolution and superior video capture in a wide range of shooting conditions.

Apart from the AW-HE40, Panasonic also unveiled the AW-HE130, incorporating recently-developed high-sensitivity, low-noise ½.86” 3-MOS imagers that produce stunning pictures, even in low light conditions.

According to Mr. Hayashi Noriyuki, Senior Manager, Security& Broadcast, Systems Solutions Department, Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa “The new cameras are designed to produce great results in a variety of applications that require high-quality video and precise control—such as conference video, event capture, staging, distance learning and houses-of-worship. Due to their unique features and crisp clear image quality, they set the performance standard for the industry.”

The HE40 series comes in two versions, the AW-HE40H with HDMI output, and the AW-HE40S with HD/SD-SDI output. Due to their precision 30X optical zoom lenses, wide field of view, smooth PTZ functions and exceptional image quality, HE40 cameras are ideal for demanding remote production and IMAG use. With IP-Preview transmission and control, and support for PoE+, the HE40S/H also offers the flexibility needed for easy installation and management.

In addition to a 30x optical zoom, the HE40S/H also features a 1.4x digital extender to capture crisp close-ups even in large auditoriums and lecture halls. The HE40S/H delivers an impressive signal-to-noise ratio of 54dB,1000 TV lines of resolution and 16-axis color matrix control for precise camera “painting” and matching. Audio input and embedding is also available via a switchable, stereo MIC/LINE input.

The HE130,on the other hand, features a 3G-SDI output (up to 1080/60p); stereo mic/line-level inputs for embedded and streaming audio; a Night Mode for hi-res, near IR video acquisition (using an optional IR-illuminator in the 850nm range); an Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S); and IP-Live Preview for remote control and management of up to 16 cameras via Browser.

With an exceptional signal to noise ratio, 1000 TV lines of resolution, and such advanced features as 15-axis color correction (three axis for skin tone area) and Panasonic’s exclusive DRS (Dynamic Range Stretch) and Hybrid Digital Noise Reduction, the HE130 continues to set performance standards for integrated pan-tilt cameras. The HE130 includes the same new three MOS imagers and Digital Signal Processor (DSP) used in Panasonic’s latest broadcast camcorders, such as the AJ-PX270. Equipped with a fast F1.6-F3.4 20X zoom lens plus a new high-res 1.4X digital extender, the compact HE130 is ideally matched to demanding applications in sports, rental/staging, news, and business and institutional video.

This camera is exceptionally easy to integrate, and has a twist-lock ceiling mount included as a standard accessory. The HE130 is also equipped with a ¼-20 tripod mounting screw receptacle and a safety lanyard for use with many mounting and grip systems.
