For the eleventh consecutive year, PepsiCo-Jordanhas continued its Silver Sponsorship of the Ayla Red Sea Half Marathon, which was held in Aqaba under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Ra'ad bin Zeid on Friday 8 December, 2017. Organized in cooperation with Run Jordan, the marathon saw the participation of a number of Jordanian and foreign runners of all ages in the event’s three categories: A 21-km half marathon, a 10-km race and a 4.2-km race for children. 

PepsiCo-Jordan’s sponsorship of the event reflects its commitment to supporting various youth and sports events in the Kingdom, whereby it distributed Aquafina bottled water to participating runners, spectators, organizers and staff as the Marathon’s official and exclusive source of pure drinking water. 

On this occasion, Eng. Nidal Hamam, General Manager of PepsiCo-Jordan, expressed his delight in having maintained a fruitful partnership with Run Jordan for so many years, especially given that both parties are determined to motivate all members of society to pursue an active and health-orientated lifestyle. He added, “Sponsoring Run Jordan’s marathons, under the slogan of ‘Run for a Cause’, reaffirms our responsibility as a national institution to support charitable and humanitarian work in the Kingdom and contribute to the country’s social development.”
