PepsiCo-Jordan supports Rsaifeh in enhancing Its municipality services

PepsiCo-Jordan – winner of the 2009 and 2011 King Abdullah II Award for Excellence – has signed a new agreement with Rsaifeh Municipality by virtue of which it will donate two Mercedes LB and Isuzu forklift trucks to the Municipality. This step reflects PepsiCo-Jordan’s vested interest in supporting various entities responsible for serving the local community.
“Our ongoing collaboration with Rsaifeh Municipality is a responsibility that we are committed to keeping. Our efforts are designed to help enhance the quality of municipal services offered in line with the needs of the Rsaifeh community,” said PepsiCo-Jordan’s General Manager, Eng. Nidal Hamam.
The Municipality’s Committee Chairman, Issa Al-Ja’afreh, expressed pleasure at the Company’s contribution, stating, “We commend PepsiCo-Jordan for understanding the importance of cultivating strong partnerships among civil society organizations. There is no doubt that such support empowers the Municipality to make tangible progress towards sustainable development.”
This initiative is one of several that PepsiCo-Jordan had undertaken throughout 2012, whereby the Company had previously donated computers, printers and flu vaccines to the Rsaifeh Municipality.

Pepsi Cola International
In 1965, Donald Kendall, the CEO of Pepsi-Cola, and Herman Lay, the CEO of Frito-Lay, recognized what they called “a marriage made in heaven,” a single company delivering perfectly-salty snacks served alongside the best cola on earth. Their vision led to what quickly became one of the world's leading food and beverage companies: PepsiCo.
For more than 50 years, as tastes, trends and lifestyles have changed, PepsiCo has evolved with them. Our willingness to adapt and grow has transformed our snack and soda company into a collection of global brands including Pepsi and Quaker, Gatorade and Tropicana, Frito-Lay and beyond. Today, PepsiCo is one of the world’s most-respected companies with products sold in more than 200 countries and territories and 22 brands that generate more than $1 billion each in estimated annual retail sales.
