Qatar Career Fair releases 5th issue of ‘Career’ magazine

Qatar Career Fair (QCF), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), has released the fifth issue of its ‘Career’ magazine.

The annual bilingual magazine, designed to be used as a career guide for students and professionals, is aligned with QF’s mission to unlock human potential by creating awareness of education, employment, training and career development opportunities available in different sectors in the country.

The 64-page issue contains career information, tips and topics of interest from career development experts, for people looking for guidance in following a suitable career path.

Topics covered in the new issue include, best careers for different personality types and entrepreneurship and great business ideas. In addition, there are valuable tips on how to write a CV and covering letter, how to perform well during interviews, and a number of positive steps to ensure a continuing and flourishing career progression.

The magazine also contains a number of interviews with young Qataris discussing accomplishments in their current positions, and how participating in the annual career fair has helped them gain new skills. 

Featured in the magazine is Yasmian Al Sharshani, a female golfer and entrepreneur who developed her own business after winning an award in the ‘Invest’ competition, organised by QCF to promote entrepreneurship among Qatari youth. 

Young Qataris looking for career and training opportunities will also be able to find a comprehensive directory in the magazine containing contact information of a large number of organisations and institutions. 

Qatar Career Fair is one of the members operating under the auspices of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. The goal of the centre is to develop and implement a number of programmes and initiatives that aim to spread career awareness and establish a career culture in society. It also seeks to achieve reassurance to Qatari citizens through career development, which would lead to utilising their capabilities and skills in a competent and efficient way in different work sectors in the country. Moreover, it also aims to create an atmosphere of career awareness as well as aiding skill development amongst students and graduates by enabling them to wisely plan for their future career paths, and to select their areas of specialization and the careers which are most suitable for their qualifications and capabilities.
