Qatar Foundation welcomes Prince Zeid Ra’ad Al-Hussein of Jordan
Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) hosted Prince Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein of Jordan, at its new and innovative headquarters in Education City today.
The Jordanian royal, who is also the UN High Commissioner For Human Rights, visited the country as part of a state visit, and was introduced to Qatar Foundation’s rich history through a comprehensive presentation that described the organisation’s different educational institutes, science and research centres, and community development initiatives.
After the presentation, Prince Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein was taken to an open-air viewing platform on the eighth floor of QF Headquarters, where he was shown the unique landscape formed by education and research buildings in Education City. As part of the tour Prince Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein was also briefed about future construction and expansion plans at Qatar Foundation, in keeping with its vision to foster a progressive society.
At the end of the visit, the Prince signed Qatar Foundation’s Visitors Book and was presented with an honourary gift to commemorate his visit.
