Qatar National Library (QNL), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), in collaboration with Qatar Museums is organising ‘Qatar – Turkey 2015’ Children’s Event on October 22nd at the Education City Clubhouse.

The event, taking place from 4pm-6pm, forms part of the Qatar-Turkey 2015 Year of Culture, a year-long cultural exchange program that aims to promote collaboration between the people of Qatar and Turkey and presents Turkey’s rich cultural heritage to the Qatari society.

QNL supports QF’s mission to foster a progressive society, while preserving the nation and the region’s heritage, through the spreading of knowledge and cultivation of creativity for future generations.

“QNL welcomes families and children to the ‘Qatar-Turkey 2015’ Children’s Event, which aims to create an ambiance conducive to learning, self-development and creativity. This and other events form the core of the library’s approach to encouraging the youth of Qatar to take on vital roles in the nation’s development,” said Engineer Saadi Al Said, Director of Administration and Planning at QNL.

Building on QNL’s continued initiatives aimed at creating an ambiance conducive to learning, self-development and creativity while learning about Turkish culture, the event will feature stimulating creative, fun and cultural activities including Turkish flag and carpet bookmark craft, and shadow puppet storytelling.

QNL is fully committed to developing the potential of Qatar’s youth by providing them with free valuable learning resources and opportunities including a vast selection of online databases, regular trainings and social events throughout the year.
