Qatar Foundation’s WISE Introduces Doha Learning Week

The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) has announced Qatar’s inaugural education festival, ‘Doha Learning Week’. Set to take place from November 10-16 across Doha, the event will culminate with the 2017 WISE Summit.
‘Doha Learning Week’, the flagship educationfestival of WISE, is intended to celebrate as well as raise awareness of the various education and learning resources and initiatives in Doha. Held in collaboration with the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy and other local partners, the event will feature a series of workshops, movie screenings, exhibitions, lectures, performances, tours, and hack-a-thons.
WISE, an initiative of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, has invited students, parents, teachers, and education enthusiasts to join them in exploring, debating, and connecting around the topic of education.
WISE marked the announcement of ‘Doha Learning Week’ with a special launch event featuring remarks from Stavros N. Yiannouka, CEO, WISE, and Ameena A. Hussain, Director of Programs and Community Development, WISE.
Ms. Hussain said: "Doha Learning Week is designed to raise awareness among our local community about the great variety of education resources available for our young people and learners of all ages. We welcome the entire community to join these exciting activities and opportunities happening all over Doha."

The 2017 WISE Summit, under the theme, ‘Co-Exist, Co-Create: Learning to Live and Work Together’, will take place November 14-16, 2017, at the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha.
