Qurum City Centre organises weekly ‘A Book in Every Hand’ storytelling sessions

Qurum City Centre is hosting fun, interactive storytelling sessions called ‘A Book in Every Hand’ for children and parents within the community. Organised jointly with the Reading Skills Development Center association, ‘A Book in Every Hand’ will take place every Thursday morning for five weeks starting March 29th and will feature a different, local public figure each week who will conduct a fun, educational session of storytelling and learning. Sessions will cost only OMR 1 per child each week, with all funds going towards the center to support their training programs.
‘A Book in Every Hand’ will take place in Qurum City Centre’s food court, from 11:00am – 1:00pm and will involve interactive storytelling, games that promote reading and opportunities to win prizes from retailers in the mall including Marble Slab, Sweet Factory, Dunkin Doughnuts and Tamrah. This week, Omani writer, Nabhan Al Hanshi will be hosting the storytelling and Qurum City Centre will oversee all activities to ensure that ‘A Book in Every Hand’ is insightful and engaging for children of all ages and interests.
“We’re pleased to introduce ‘A Book in Every Hand’ for families within the community, and help children discover reading as a fun, interactive and educational activity,” said Husam Al Mandhari, Senior Mall Manager for Qurum City Centre. “This initiative also offers parents with an opportunity to spend quality time with their children on the weekend.
