Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman announces plans for next World Championship Arab Boxing

Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman, a premier destination for business and leisure travellers, held a press conference today to announce plans for the next World Championship Arab Boxing in Ajman.

M. Iftikhar Hamdani, General Manager, Ramada Ajman, said: “The management and staff of Ramada Hotel Ajman are very proud to be associated with sports. For the past two years, we have hosted big events such as the Asian Cycling Championship, Asian Cricket Championship, UAE Football League and now we have supported the just concluded boxing championship in Ajman. We hope to bring another championship here because such sports activity is important and will bring awareness to our emirate. We pledge our continued cooperation with FIBA in hosting such events in the future!”

Mr. Hadi Sedry, President, FIBA, said: “I would like to thank Ajman Sports Complex and Ramada Ajman Hotel for their support in making Ajman World Arab Boxing Championship tournament a very successful event. I would also like to thank HH Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi Ruler of Ajman for his continuous support to the Emirati youth in all fields. We at the International Federation of Arab Boxing, Ajman Sports Complex and Ramada Hotel Ajman are planning to organize an international professional tournament in different weights in Ajman where more than 35 boxers are expected to participate. There will be a dedicated team who will work on this tournament to make sure that it would be a success!”

Mr. Michele Hana, Director General Ajman Sports Complex, added: “We have organized this championship in Ajman Sports Complex because we want to attract our youths to practice different sports and for Ajman to be the driving force towards development and progress of such activities. We are bringing fresh and creative ideas and we are pleased that the boxing tournament was a success. We had a good turnout of spectators who enjoyed the games. We have plans to bring more sporting events to Ajman and I am sure this will be successful because of your support!”

Ramada Ajman Hotel & Suites is one of the supporters of the recently concluded boxing tournament participated in by 33 countries including Kuwait, Jordan, Iran, Egypt, Germany, South Africa and the UAE.
