Registration Now Opens for the Samsung Amman International Marathon

Run Jordan, has announced the opening of the registration for Samsun Amman International Marathon in its 10th edition, which will be held under the slogan "Run to The Heart of Amman" on Friday, October 12^th, 2018.

This stems from the Run Jordan’s dedication in promoting the importance of sports to the local community, highlighting the importance of running on our daily lives, as well as the major role it plays in collaborating with both the public and private sectors in endorsing sporting events on the local and international level. It is worth noting that the Amman Marathon has several international runners participating, which enhances the experiences of the runners and fuels their competitive sprits.

Lina El-Kurd, Genera Manager of Run Jordan announced the rekindling of the partnership with the supporting bodies of this prominent sporting event, whereby the cooperation between Run Jordan and institutions in both the private and public sectors contributes to the development of Jordan, which is considered an oasis of security and stability on the international level, especially when it comes to tourism and sports. This is also an opportunity to host a number of athletes from all over the world to spend some time in Amman, and promote all the great things the Capital has to offer.

El-Kurd stressed that Run Jordan is committed to events in support of philanthropy and charity, and stemming from its dedication CSR, Run Jordan will be allocating a part of the ticket price to support the efforts of several charities serving different sectors in Jordan.

Run Jordan has announced the opening of registration for the marathon, which is available through its offices in Shmeisani from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Registration will also be available at Taj Mall and Cosmo from September 6 to October 6, from 4 pm to 9 pm, and at City Mall from September 23 to October 6, from 10 am to 10 pm.

The Samsung marathon starts from the Roman Amphitheater, with four main races: marathon (individual - 42 km), half marathon (21 km), the10 km race, and a brand-new category that was created to mark the 10th anniversary of the race, which is a 42 km relay race. There will also be a children's race taking place in Al Hussein Park on Friday, October 5^th 2018.
