Rizwan Sajan named ‘Visionary of the Year’ at first ever Indian CEO Awards

Rizwan Sajan, Founder and Chairman of the Danube Group, leader in construction, building materials and shop fitting industries, has been named ‘Visionary of the Year’ during the inaugural edition of the Indian CEO Awards held recently at the Armani Hotel in Dubai. The award was given to Sajan in recognition of his dynamic leadership and strong business acumen, strategic factors that have propelled the Danube group to success—from its humble beginnings as a small trading shop in Naif to what is now recognized as the Middle East region’s leading provider of building materials and home interior products.

The 1^st Indian CEO Awards was organized by CEO Middle East magazine, a sister publication to Arabian Business. The inaugural event also featured a surprise ‘Trade Relations’ award for India’s Consular General Sanjay Verma. Other big winners of the night included EMKE Group founder Yusuffali MA (Lifetime Achievement Award), Standard Chartered boss V Shankar (Banking CEO of the Year), Apparel Group boss Nilesh Ved (Fastest Growing Company), Sarah Belhasa (Female CEO of the Year), Dr. BR Shetty (Healthcare CEO of the Year) and Nikai Group founder Paras Shahdadpuri (International Achievement).
