Royal Jordanian holds environment day, cleans surroundings of airport road

In cooperation with Greater Amman Municipality, Royal Jordanian organised an environment day on May 15, 2016 during which volunteers worked to clean the areas surrounding Queen Alia International Airport.
Tens of employees from different RJ departments volunteered to participate in this day; they cleaned part of Ghamadan Park and other places near the airport road that people usually frequent at this time of the year to enjoy their time.
This initiative comes as part of the company’s national and social role and its keenness to maintain a clean environment.
The airport road is a gate into Jordan, and the first place guests see; moreover RJ’s employees and passengers are the main users of this road.
RJ, Jordan’s national carrier, feels that showing the most civilised image of Jordan is part of its national duty, as it is the duty of different other private and public sectors and of Jordanians in general.
RJ implements similar initiatives all around the year through its Media and Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility Department.
It also has many charitable initiatives that aim at supporting the needy and that focus on basic social development dimensions, in particular those targeting the youth, education and the environment.
