Royal Jordanian sponsors five families at SOS Children’s Villages A partnership between RJ and SOS

Royal Jordanian reached a partnership agreement with the SOS Children's Villages, whereby the airline will sponsor five families for a whole year as part of its corporate social responsibility and in appreciation for SOS' humanitarian mission of caring for orphaned children and those who lack parental care.

Vice Chairman/CEO Samer Majali, who expressed satisfaction with providing this support, said it comes at a time the national carrier, Royal Jordanian, marks a landmark in its journey, as it enters its 60th year of existence and service to the country. He said that the airline has a mission toward the community, that it has always worked to serve all segments of the Jordanian society, among them SOS, which helps support and offer a good life to less fortunate children, which leads to equality among the society members. RJ employees also presented gifts to the children of SOS Children’s Village in Amman on the occasion of the new year. 

SOS Children’s Villages National Director Rana AlZoubi expressed her appreciation of the support from the Royal Jordanian, which reflects its belief in the mission of SOS Children's Villages: We build families for children in need, we help them shape their own futures, and we share in the development of their communities. AlZoubi highlighted the importance of collaboration among national institutions to maximize the social benefit for the children. AlZoubi added that this gesture comes on a special time in celebration of the Royal Jordanian 60th anniversary. She said, "Congratulations to RJ and its staff on this day. We are proud of our prominent national company, and we hope our synergies lead to future successes for both entities." 

SOS Children’s Villages Jordan is a national non-profit organization established in 1983. The association cares for 260 orphaned and vulnerable children who lack parental care in 32 houses, 3 villages and 9 youth houses in the cities of Amman, Irbid and Aqaba.
