Royale Hayat Hospital Conducts International Symposium in Physiotherapy for Women's Health

Royale Hayat Hospital has established an international symposium in Physiotherapy for Women's Health, under the supervision of Dr. Abubakr Elmardi, Head and Consultant of Obstetrics & Gynecology and the Head of Urogynecology Unit, the Physiotherapist Cindy Amin.
The symposium was conducted by a group of international speakers from United Kingdom: Teresa Cook, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, Julia Herbert, Consultant Physiotherapist Bladder, Bowel and Pelvic floor dysfunction, and Stephanie Knight, Principal Women’s Health Physiotherapist and Urodynamics Specialist. In addition, the symposium was well attended by Physiotherapists from Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
The objectives of the symposium were to introduce all members of multi-professional team to the role of the specialist pelvic health physiotherapist, develop an understanding of the evidence-based assessment and treatment options available to women presenting to the pelvic health physiotherapist, and to increase awareness of healthy bladder, bowel and pelvic floor habits.
The symposium has highlighted the importance of physical therapy in maternity services, urinary and bowel problems in women and how to improve it. It has laid out the new modalities of assessment, diagnostic and treatment of Urogynecology and the importance of Physiotherapy treatment before any surgical intervention.
The participants’ feedback highlighted the need of further workshop and training in this field. Our Physiotherapy Clinic, led by our physiotherapist Cindy Amin, has been effective in developing, arranging and renown this symposium.
Royale Hayat Hospital cares about conducting many symposiums and workshops in different medical fields to be updated with the latest and most modern methods of treatment, communicate and exchange information and experiences in order to provide the best care and health services.
Background Information
Royale Hayat Hospital
The launch of Royale Hayat Hospital in 2006, as a manifestation of our Group’s vision to develop a Women’s & Children’s healthcare institute that would blend quality medical care with luxurious hospitality services, signalled a new day and alandmark for healthcare and wellness in Kuwait. For over a decade since its institution, RHH has systematically evolved into a full-fledged hospital and established itself as a referral hub for women’s and children’s healthcare excellence in Kuwait.
