Samsung brings Chelsea Youth Coaches to UAE to foster the next Generation of Sporting Talent

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., the official sponsor of Chelsea Football Club today announced the launch of its event, ‘Samsung - Chelsea FC Youth Football Camp’. The campaign is aimed at providing children, aged 9-13 years, a chance to train with renowned youth coaches of the English Premier League (EPL) powerhouse, Chelsea FC.

The camp which will be held on the 4th and 5th of May, 2012 at Soccer Circus in Mirdiff City Center in Dubai and will have four football coaches teaching children, 'The Chelsea Way' through a series of skills’drills designed to help refine their control, shooting, dribbling, and passing. While the majority of the children taking part in the football camp will be recruited from schools, Samsung is also offering 30 places to the public to attend the camp through an online campaign.

“Football is a sport that unites different cultures, nations and people and promotes a spirit of teamwork, dedication and passion,” said Marco Vocale, Head of Corporate Marketing at Samsung Gulf Electronics. “Through our partnership with Chelsea FC, we are able to provide sporting initiatives that encourage youth to pursue their dreams and showcase their sporting talents.We hope this camp will bring a new level of excitement and experience to football fans and connect people across the UAE.”

The ‘Samsung-Chelsea FC Youth Football Camp’ is part of Samsung’s support for developing football at grass-roots level and is an important component in their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Samsung started its youth football programs in 2007 and since then, over 1,650 children from all around the world have experienced 'The Chelsea Way' of playing football.
