Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) has received two accolades in Dubai for inflight product experience.

The main award, Inflight Airline of the Year is in recognition of new onboard products and advancements in the past year, when it comes to inflight entertainment.

This includes the introduction of a new first-class suite as well as an enriched IFEC experience with 3,500 hours of leading content and a new in-flight connectivity portal.

Saudia continues to invest in enhancing the travel experience and has made major developments to its on-board products over the past 12 months.

At the Middle East Inflight Awards event in Dubai hosted by HMG Aerospace, airlines from the region were present, and awards across seven categories were presented.

The annual awards celebrate outstanding contributions to passenger experience across the in-flight entertainment, connectivity and cabin technology domains.

It was a memorable day for Saudia as the airline’s B777 first-class suite earned the airline a second award, “Innovation in commercial airline cabins”.

Judges credited the product with “redefining luxury” and “setting a new mark in the industry”. Saudia’s guests can enjoy an exceptional experience at every touch point of their journey.

Present at the event to collect the awards were Azman Ahmad, Saudia general manager product management, and Ayman Abuljadayl, manager onboard product cabin interior.

Saudia has received 60 new aircraft in its fleet since 2016, including state-of-the-art Boeing 777, Boeing 787 Dreamliner and the Airbus A330-300 Regional.
