Sharjah Islamic Bank Trains Students For Future Careers In Banking And Finance Sector
Sharjah Islamic Bank has launched the new edition of "Mehnati" program for college and university students in the UAE, to prepare them professionally for a career within the bank's keenness to enable students affiliated with the program to acquire the skills required in banking.
Sharjah Islamic Bank has launched the " Mehnati" program for college and university students in the UAE to equipped them with the right skill sets and training that can help lead to careers in the finance and banking industry.
“Mehnati” involves a series of practical, on-the-field training in various aspects of banking and will be conducted by a specialized team formed by the bank to train the students who are keen to establish careers in the Islamic banking sector, which is an important component of the national economy, as it helps provide employment opportunities and supports the country’s Emiratization initiatives.
In addition, the robust program will enable students not just to begin their careers but potentially take up leadership positions later on and potentially contribute to the growth of the banking industry and the UAE economy in the future.

Fadheela AL Marzouqi, Head of Recruitment and Emiratization “Human Resources”, Sharjah Islamic Bank, said: “In line with the UAE National Agenda 2021, especially in regard to achieving a competitive knowledge-based economy, we launched this year’s edition of the “Mehnati” program, which It includes a set of training courses that will give students a solid foundation on leadership, creativity, responsibility and ambition; and in the process motivate them to work in the banking sector and chart a better career path for their future.”
She pointed out that program’s courses focus not only on the essence of Islamic banking, but also allow the trainees to acquire many skills that develop personal capabilities and increase their knowledge of economic and financial concepts and principles; in addition to enabling them to pass employment interviews and choosing the disciplines most appropriate to their interests and capabilities.
Keys to success to excel in the profession
Sharjah Islamic Bank recently presented a course entitled "Success Keys to Excel in Career", which was held at the bank's operations center with the participation of a number of members of the "Mehnati" program. It included many topics, including an introduction to banking services, skills for forming future goals, and personality assessment using MBTI personality analysis framework, along with top tips for getting through job interviews, and new ways to apply for jobs.
