Siemens Healthineers hosts second consecutive Innovation Think Tank Certification Program to address access to healthcare in Egypt

Siemens Healthineers, a global leader in medical technology, recently hosted the second Innovation Think Tank Certification Program (ITT CP) in Egypt. Under the leadership of Prof. Sultan Haider, Founder & Head ITT, Siemens Healthcare GmbH in Germany, the hybrid ITT CP focused on the theme of “Access to Care in Egypt”. The interactive program is designed to develop creative pioneers, capable of delivering innovative and customer-centric solutions within their own field of profession.
“The Siemens Healthineers Innovation Think Tank Certification Program utilizes our global self-sustaining innovation infrastructures to accelerate the identification and implementation of new business opportunities,” said Prof. Sultan Haider, Founder & Head ITT, Siemens Healthcare GmbH in Germany. “By hosting this program in Egypt for the second year, we are proactively driving innovation to improve human life right here in our own community.”
The program, which took place from August 21-28, 2022, was open to applicants from engineering, medical, and management disciplines. Participants were provided with an ITT methodology training by Prof. Haider, followed by exploring co-creation opportunities with key healthcare stakeholders and experts. The program included a day focusing on Innovation Management in practice, experiential learning, team building and task assignment; followed by time dedicated to teamwork and for individual feedback sessions with the ITT Team. After reviewing the results, fine tuning, prototyping, preparation of proposal and elevation, the teams presented their innovations to the jury.
Innovation Think Tank (ITT) is a part of the Chief Technology Office of Siemens Healthineers (SHS), a global infrastructure of co-creation labs and programs established at SHS, universities and hospital sites. 100 ITT certification programs have been conducted worldwide to date.
