Software AG, a global leader in business process excellence, discussed the importance of real-time business process analytics in enhancing both performance and the customer experience at OPEX 2013 – the 9th edition of the premier event for financial COOs that concluded today (Wednesday, November 20, 2013) at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Dubai.

The annual OPEX conference provides a platform for C-level executives from the Middle East’s banking and financial sectors to discuss and strategize for building optimum capacity in operations, technology, business processes, and people management.

In this year’s edition, Matthew Barnes, Software AG’s Regional Director for Integration & Analytics (EMEA) with over 15 years of experience in the field of business process excellence, delivered a presentation on ‘Leveraging Intelligent Business Operations to Improve Process Visibility and Customer Experience.’ He discussed the importance of monitoring and adjusting processes in real time to reduce service delivery costs and boost customer satisfaction.

Real-time business process analytics holds substantial value to the region’s banking sector, which is increasingly broadening its portfolio to include Islamic banking. The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Islamic banking industry alone is expected to more than double its worth to USD 990 billion by 2015, so local financial institutions are vying to consolidate their capabilities through innovation across products and services, operations, and customer management.
