Spotify Announces 2020 “Wrapped” Revealing Top Songs, Artists, Albums and More in Ksa

For the second time in the Middle East and North Africa region, Spotify, the world’s largest audio platform, is revealing its 2020 Wrapped Lists to celebrate the creators behind the music that kept fans going during these unprecedented times. 

Today, Spotify is unveiling the top artists, albums, tracks and playlists that defined how 320 million people around the world listened and discovered audio. Whether it was to sing along or simply tune it all out, people kept listening and creators never missed a beat. 

So, what artists defined a year unlike any other? Below you’ll find Spotify’s full 2020 Wrapped results globally and in the KSA:

MUSIC (KSA)

• • BTS is Saudi Arabia’s most-streamed artist of 2020. Following BTS is Travis Scott, and the third most-streamed artist of the year is late rapper XXXTENTACION. Rounding out the top five artists in Saudi Arabia are Billie Eilish and Drake.

  • Billie Eilish also tops as the most-streamed female artist and her album“WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?” is the fourth most-streamed album in 2020. Iraqi superstar Aseel Hameem is the second most-streamed female artist followed by Halsey and Ariana Grande in the third and fourth spots. 

  • The most-streamed song of 2020 on Spotify is “Dance Monkey” by Tones And I. Coming in at second place is “وناسه” by DJ-MK, followed by Saif Amer’s “Warqa”. In the fourth and fifth spots respectively, are “عشق” by Faisal Abdulkareem and “ريكلس - عائلة 25” by Reckless. 

  • The most-streamed album of 2020 is “?” by XXXTENTACION followed by BTS’  “MAP OF THE SOUL : 7”. Rounding out the list of top albums are “ASTROWORLD” by Travis Scott, “WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?” by Billie Elish and “After Hours” by The Weeknd.

  • The year’s most popular Spotify editorial playlist is Today's Top Khaleeji Hits. 

  • Spotify also found that Monday, 25 May 2020 was the most musical day of this year for KSA.
