Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International completes auditing mission in Afghanistan

Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International – Jordan TAGI completed its mission in auditing five commercial banks in Afghanistan funded by the World Bank based on an agreement signed last year with the Central Bank of Afghanistan. 

TAGI, successfully, conducted a final presentation on prudential audits of the banks in the presence of H.E Governor Nourallah Dalwari – DA Afghanistan Bank, World Bank representatives and Donors of Afghanistan Rehabilitation Trust Fun ARTF. 

Mr. Steve Karadsheh, TAGI Executive said:"We are really proud to join forces with the Central Bank of Afghanistan in providing our unique services to five banks in Kabul. We hope to continue our cooperation in the near future." 

He added that this project is in line with the mission of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) to improve the professions of auditing, accounting and consultancies in Afghanistan in accordance with the international standards through the services provided by TAG-Org office in Kabul.  

On 5^th of October 2011, an agreement was signed by Mr. Nasereddin and Mr. Mohiballah Safi, Central Bank’s Governor in the presence of Mr. Zalmei Sherzad, Director of Financial Sector Strengthening Project FSSP at the Central Bank of Afghanistan and Mr. Mohammad Qaseem Rahimi, General Director of Financial Control Department / Central Bank of Afghanistan, and Ms. Guillemette Jaffrin, Private Sector Development Expert at the World Bank, and Mr. Yazeed Al Ma’ani, Project Manager, and Mr. Babu Nambarath, Operations Manager – TAGI Afghanistan Office.
