Tamkeen participates in the Bahrain Excellence Programme

Tamkeen’s Chief Executive Mahmood Al-Kooheji conveyed Tamkeen’s full support for the objectives of the Bahrain Centre for Excellence (BCE) for promoting government performance.
Al-Kooheji was speaking at the opening of the BCE’s "Measurement Lab" in which BCE consultants and Tamkeen's senior officials participated. The Measurement Lab is aimed at measuring the indicators that influence the economy, government, and society while creating the conditions that help improve Tamkeen's performance. The training offered through the lab is intended to help organisations assess their added value, determine the elements they need to realize their values, and improve opportunities for excellence in its various operations.
Al-Kooheji stressed that Tamkeen is working to promote and foster the culture of excellence among its staff, using the best mechanisms to create a corporate culture which values competitiveness and sustainability it entails. The participants agreed that one of Tamkeen's strongest factors is that it offers its pioneering programmes and initiatives in cooperation with selected private sector partners. This guarantees the implementation of these programmes at the highest standards and through the best international practices.
At the end of the session, the BCE team expressed thanks and appreciation for Tamkeen's efforts and called on Tamkeen's team to maintain and enhance the points of strength in the programme and initiatives offered to stimulate the economy growth for the local community.
The Measurement Lab followed a three-day workshop (24-26 January) organized by the BCE and attended by Tamkeen officials as part of Tamkeen's commitment to strengthen its strategy and develop its performance to serve the public and identify corporate values relevant to the 2030 Economic Vision.
Following the session with the BCE consultants, Tamkeen will work for two weeks to obtain results. It will set up local teams, consisting of a leader and members, to prepare a detailed report against the agreed value and performance indicators and identify improvement opportunities and business development methodologies.
Al-Kooheji also emphasised that the most important characteristic of BCE initiatives is that they offer integrated methodology and require concerted efforts, awareness, and strong determination to realise the objectives of the Measurement Lab..
