Tamkeen strategic partner of "Proud to Be Bahraini" exhibition

Tamkeen will participate as a strategic partner in the Proud to be Bahraini Exhibition, which will be held at the Bahrain International Circuit 29-31 March. Tamkeen’s involvement is part of its role as an enabler of entrepreneurship and innovation amongst Bahrainis.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, the three-day event is aimed at nurturing budding Bahraini talents and young innovators by creating effective mechanisms which transform academic, cultural, and professional achievements into successful ventures that support the national economy.

Tamkeen Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mahmood Hashem Al-Kooheji commented: "Young Bahrainis have so much potential, and this energy needs to be honed, developed, and given a chance to shine. Tamkeen has persistently supported this sector of the society by introducing a wide range of programmes which cater to this segment, and supporting the various youth initiatives across the kingdom."

A number of enterprises participating in the event have benefited from Tamkeen’s “Tarweej” scheme, one of the many schemes offered under Tamkeen’s Enterprise Development Support Programme.

For his part, Khalid Al-Amin, Chairman of the Proud to be Bahraini Exhibition Founding Committee, stressed the importance of Tamkeen's participation in this significant national initiative, saying it is in line with Tamkeen's future plans and the requirements for the development of the national economy. He said Tamkeen took serious initiatives to prepare youths for the labour market, offering them immense support to develop projects with positive impact on the entire Bahraini society. "Tamkeen is a key strategic partner in this national project where every talented young man is given the chance to translate his creative ideas into action," he said. 

Al-Amin thanked Tamkeen for its efforts and said the objectives of the exhibition are in harmony with Tamkeen's aspirations and the requirements of the future investment plans in which the various Bahraini sectors make concerted efforts to create the appropriate climate for the kingdom to show its excellence and creativity and support the young talents that might produce significant projects for all Bahrainis to benefit from. "We are all working together as public and private sectors to render this national project successful, as it deepens the concept of pride in the achievements of the people of Bahrain," he concluded.

Tamkeen will have is own stand in the exhibition. Visitors will be informed of the projects and programmes that Tamkeen offers to support public sector individuals and enterprises and how they can benefit from them, especially those that seek to develop young talents and support business start-ups.
