Tamkeen supports Bahraini Enterprises to display Hi-Tech IT solutions in Bahrain’s IT expo 2012

Through Tamkeen’s Tarweej Scheme, 9 Bahraini enterprises exhibited their hi-tech products and services at Bahrain IT Expo 2012 which officiallyopened yesterday 9th April under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohamed Bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister. The Tarweej Scheme is one of the programmes of Tamkeen's flagship Enterprise Development Support initiative, which seeks to boost the productivity and competitiveness of the Bahraini enterprises.
Tamkeen allocated more than BD 20,000 to cover up to 80 % of the cost of participation in this key event - held in conjunction with the e-Government Forum 2012. The Bahrain IT expo provides both the public and private sector with the opportunity to exhibit their products and showcase the latest trends and IT solutions, in addition to assessing them to promote their services and explore business opportunities in the market. This will ultimately boost the national economy and support the goals of the Kingdom’s Economic Vision 2030.
"Over the past few years, the Bahrain IT Expo has become a mainstay on the regional and international fair circuit”, noted Private Sector Support Senior Manager Mohammed Bucheery. “As such, it provides an ideal platform for Bahraini Business Enterprises towards mutual learning and networking with global IT professionals, added Bucheery. “Tamkeen is constantly inviting Bahraini Enterprises to utilize the generous offer put forth by Tamkeen through participating In “Tarweej” Scheme to encourage them to be part of this global gathering and join the success quest” Says Bucheery.
During phase two of the EDS Programme, Tamkeen spent more than BD. 1.5 million in financial support to assist more than 781 Business Enterprises to take part in a number of local and international events and Exhibitions through “Tarweej” Scheme.
Tamkeen’s Tarweej Scheme is a co-financing Scheme designed to support Business Enterprises achieve sustainability by expanding the outreach of their products and services through local and regional exhibitions.
Entrepreneurs wishing to benefit from Tarweej Scheme in the upcoming national and International exhibitions may submit their applications to the Enterprise Development Support Agency with the required documents within one month prior to International exhibitions and a maximum of ten days before any local Exhibition.
