Tamkeen and Al Zayani Investments sign new Training and Employment agreement

As part of its mission to enable of Bahrainis and businesses in Bahrain, Tamkeen and Al Zayani Investments have signed an agreement to train and provide employment for 30 beneficiaries in three different automotive maintenance fields: Mechanical and Electrical, Body work and Repair as well as Refurbishment and Painting for its three motors subsidiaries; EuroMotors, First Motors & Zayani Motors. 

The training will be conducted at the National Institute for Industrial Training which specialises in the industrial field. The programme will span a period of 1 year. 

Tamkeen’s Chief Executive, Mr. Mahmood Hashem Al-Kooheji, said “This agreement is in line with our objective to enable job seekers to reach their potential. It gives us great pride to partner with Al Zayani Investments and the National Institute for Industrial Training to provide an energetic group of Bahrainis with a skill set that is in demand which will eventually lead to employment once the student successfully completes the programme”. 

The training targets Bahrainis between the ages of 18 and 25 with high school Diplomas with an interest in the automotive industry. The training will apply both theory and practice through academic and on-the-job training.

Alzayani, Vice Chairman of Alzayani Investments, said, “At Al Zayani Investments, we always seek to provide opportunities for Bahrainis to contribute to the national economy through their capabilities and skills. With this partnership, we have a viable opportunity to do even more for Bahraini youth and provide them with a bright outlook for their future”.  

The initiative is part of over 100 programmes offered by Tamkeen to develop human resources and match skills to labour market requirements and make Bahrainis the employees of choice. To date, approximately 23,500 Bahrainis have benefited from Tamkeen's Human Development programmes, and more than 2,200 graduates from these programmes have been employed in several sectors.
