The Red Arrows to salute the new Mclaren P1 at the Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa

The McLaren P1 supercar may have had a successful launch in Dubai at the recent Dubai International Motor Show, however, it’s in for a bit of a surprise. The P1 supercar is about to get a salute from Britain’s Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, The Red Arrows – adding to its British appeal. The Red Arrows will salute the McLaren P1 at a Flyby at the Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa on Thursday 14th November. The Red Arrows will perform a Flyby at 12.30pm, flying over the McLaren P1 on the lawn of the five-star beach hotel. It will be displayed alongside six McLaren MP4 12C’s.
The Red Arrows are in Dubai as part of a five-week Middle East tour, which will also take them to Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Officially known as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows represent the United Kingdom and have been thrilling crowds, at home and overseas, since the 1960s.
The McLaren P1 will be the centrepiece of a cocktail reception from 12-1pm at the Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa. The guests, including VIP customers of Bentley and McLaren cars, will also get the opportunity to meet Red Arrows Wing Commander Mike Woods, Air Attaché, British Embassy, Abu Dhabi.
Khalaf Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group said, “It is an honour to have the Red Arrows perform a flyby over the new McLaren P1 at the Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa. McLaren is a British brand, and having the Red Arrows there adds to the British flair.”
Martin Chubb, General Sales Manager, McLaren Dubai & McLaren Abu Dhabi at Al Habtoor Motors said, “We are proud that McLaren Automotive has confirmed that Al Habtoor Motors is the biggest dealer worldwide for sales of the P1, as well as being the strongest dealer in the Middle East region by sales across all models.”
He added, “This has been achieved through our passionate focus on customer service and through strong residual values maintained through the ‘McLaren Qualified’ pre-owned programme.”
The P1 supercar, retails from AED 4.5 million, and is available from McLaren Dubai, The Lofts, Downtown Burj Khalifa. Tel: 04 382 7500 or www.dubai.mclaren.com.
