Toys “R” Us celebrates new store opening with popular children’s characters

Toys “R” Us, the world’s favourite toy retailer, today opened its new store at the popular Muscat City Centre (Seeb area) shopping mall. With the opening of the new store, the Al-Futtaim Group company has 14 stores across the MENA region. 

Steve Hammett, President – Al-Futtaim Retail and Troy Zunckel, General Manager of Toys “R” Us was joined by the Toys “R” Us team and popular children’s characters including Geoffrey the Giraffe, Shrek and Ginga from BeyBlade, at the ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the new store. 

Located on the first floor, East Wing, Block 145, the store at Muscat City Centre offers a diverse and exclusive product range with an easy-to-shop floor layout. Also on hand are knowledgeable toy-trained staff members ready to help customers find the perfect toy. 

The new store, which is over 14,700 sq. ft., stocks thousands of quality toys for boys and girls, the latest and hottest games, educational and developmental toys, sporting goods, electronics, software and baby products. 

The Muscat City Centre store also stocks products from Toys “R” Us exclusive brands such as Bruin, Animal Alley, You & Me, Pavilion and Fast Lane among others. 

The Babies “R” Us section offers a wide selection of products for newborns and infants, including cribs, furniture, car seats, strollers, high chairs, plush, safety gates, infant and pre-school toys, feeding accessories and day-to-day essentials including diapers, wet-wipes, lotions and creams. This section also features inspirational room settings for parents to create the perfect nursery.

The new Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us store offers a fun interactive environment through its R Play section where children are encouraged to learn and play. Customers can also experience the latest and hottest toys at the special demonstration counters at the store. 

As part of its opening offer, Toys “R” Us has announced 25% off its comprehensive collection of quality bicycles for boys, girls and adults. 

The month-long promotion which is valid till November 26 will see over 100 models of bikes available at incredibly low prices. 

The exciting offer is also valid on the durable and economical kid’s and adult bikes from Avigo – a Toys “R” Us exclusive brand. Avigo girls and boys model bikes come in all of today’s coolest styles as well as traditional designs at the right price. The Avigo range of bikes are available starting at OMR 23.9/- (earlier OMR 31.9/-) for boys and OMR 23/- (earlier OMR 30.9/-) for girls.
