TRA celebrates the UAE National Day 40th Anniversary

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the United Arab Emirates’ National Day, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) held celebrations in TRA Head Office, along with its branches in Khalidiya and Dubai, that were attended by TRA officials, staff, and a number of invitees.
Commenting on the occasion, H.E. Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, TRA Director General said: “Today, we are proud to witness 40 years of achievements that have positioned our country among other progressive leading nations. We are grateful to The Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the founding fathers, to our wise leaders H.H Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and their brothers rulers of the Emirates . We pledge to remain faithful to all achievements and the vision our wise leadership has set, to work hard for the welfare and future of this great nation that has proven its unique ability to move forward at an unprecedented pace while never loosing sight of its unique and proud cultural origins”.
This celebration commemorates the foundation of the union which has paved the way for the country to reach the highest levels of success both regionally and internationally.

Telecommunication Regulatory Authority
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was established according to the UAE Federal Law by Decree No. 3 of 2003 – Telecom Law, on regulating the telecommunications sector in the UAE. Since its establishment, the TRA has exceeded expectations by achieving its projected goals in record time.
The role of TRA focuses on two fields: regulating the telecommunications sector, and enabling government entities in the field of smart transformation.
