Nawras scooped three golds at the Oman Web Awards, in recognition of the company website. Triumphing in the ‘Software and Telecommunications (ICT)’, ‘Services’ and ‘Best .om Extension’ categories, Nawras was the only non-government organisation to win three gold trophies at this year’s awards, fiercely contested by over 300 entries in 26 categories.

Greg Young, Nawras CEO and Idris Al Balushi, Nawras Online Manager, collected the awards on behalf of the entire Nawras family during the ceremony held recently at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel. The event was attended by H.E. Hamoud Sangour Al Zadjali, Executive President of the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) and Greg Young attended as a VIP guest.

Idris said, “Our website represents who we are; innovative, creative and dedicated to enhancing the customer experience. We have continued to develop the site to be easier to navigate, more intuitive and reflective of our commitment to help customers stay connected and up to date with the latest great value offers from Nawras.”

Now in its eighth year, the Oman Web Awards recognise the commitment of designers and developers to increasing accessibility and delivering online customer service.  Since its inception, Nawras has enjoyed continued success by winning Gold in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010/2011 and 2012/2013, where the newly-designed website took top honours by winning ‘Website of the Year’.
