Turkish Airlines adds Kathmandu, Nepal as new route in Asia Pacific Region

Turkish Airlines, the national carrier of Turkey and Europe’s best airline, has added flights to the capital and largest city of Nepal, Kathmandu, as the 29th destination served in the Far East, growing the world’s largest country network for an airline to 104 countries.
Roundtrip flights between Istanbul and Kathmandu will operate 4 times per week and for the first 6 months of flights to the new destination there is a special offer for Miles&Smiles members, with a 25 per cent reduction in the miles needed to redeem either award tickets or upgrades.
Kathmandu has a long history dating to 100 BC and is home to incredible UNESCO cultural and historical sites. In addition, Nepal is an adventurer’s paradise for climbing, trekking and rafting expeditions across the Himalayan range.
