Umra dream comes true for two children in Ramadan

Al Ain Mineral Water, the flagship water brand of Abu Dhabi-based food and beverage company Agthia Group P.J.S.C. and the second leading bottled water in the UAE, is making wishes come true this Ramadan together with the Make-A-Wish Foundation United Arab Emirates (UAE). The foundation is dedicated to assisting children diagnosed with a life threatening medical condition and their families by providing an avenue for hope, strength and joy through the fulfillment of special wishes.

Through its partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE, Al Ain Mineral Water is making it possible for two teenage sisters with critical illnesses to be flown to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the Muslim pilgrimage, Umrah, accompanied by their parents. The sisters will spend five days in KSA and their trip will include air tickets as well as 5-star hotel accommodation.

The wishes were brought to reality by the Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE whose wish-process involves actively visiting hospitals in and around the Emirates and liaising with medical professionals and social workers to facilitate experiences that will delight and inspire children with terminal conditions. Donations from individuals and companies such as Al Ain Mineral Water provide the financial support the foundation requires to grant the children’s wishes.

Her Highness Sheikha Sheikha Bint Saif Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE, said, “We value this partnership with Al Ain Water and it has succeeded in making wishes come true at such a special time during the holy month of Ramadan, a month of giving and generosity. I call on all national corporations to take this example and help bring joy to the hearts of children with life threatening medical conditions.”

Al Ain Mineral Water and Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE will also be granting a number of wishes during Eid, helping to bring joy to the lives of even more children. Laptops, iPads and iPhones will be handed to a number of children this Eid using donations provided by Al Ain Mineral Water.
