United Development Company (UDC), one of Qatar’s leading shareholding companies, was the proud sponsor of the 14th Arab Business Forum held in Doha recently. 

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifah al thani, Emir of Qatar, the prestigious event gathered more than 400 business leaders from around the Arab region and focused on the “Arab Spring - Challenges and Opportunities Amidst the Current Global Economy”. Organized by the Qatari Businessmen’s Association in cooperation with the League of Arab States and the Federation of Arab Businessmen, UDC was the official sponsor of the event. 

Senior representatives from UDC, master developer of The Pearl-Qatar, also participated in the two-day proceedings, contributing to the session on the Qatari private sector – “Wide Opportunities and Big Projects”. 

Fadi El Kik, General Manager Business Development said the event was an opportunity to showcase the great strides Qatar had made and the role cooperation had to play to strengthening the regional economy. 

“The Pearl - Qatar unique features, sophisticated infrastructure, its commitment to environmental protection and cleanliness in compliance with relevant international standards, up- to- date technology design and applications to architectural engineering, the diversification of the surrounding environment, and providing all the necessities for human life, all are elements of that could attract potential investors“.Mr. El Kik said addressing the second session.
