United Facilities Management attains ISO and OHSAS accreditation

United Facilities Management Company (UFMCO), which manages and provides key services for Doha’s prestigious The Pearl-Qatar community, has gained ISO and OHSAS accreditation.
At a receiving ceremony at The Oyster, The Pearl-Qatar on the 15th of March 2012, VQMI (VELOSI Quality Management International Ltd) compliance certificates for ISO 14001:2004 for its Environmental Management System, ISO 9001:2008 for its Quality Management System, and OHSAS 18001: 2007 for its Occupational Health & Safety System were handed over to UFMCO by Sudhir Pandra, Regional Manager, VELOSI Qatar.

VELOSI Certification is a trusted partner by many of the highly prestigious clients within Qatar and the Middle East such as Qatargas, AlJazera Networks, ASPIRE, Qatar Ministry of Interior, Qatar Aeronautical College, Bin Laden Group and many other esteemed clients” said Sudhir Pandra.
These accreditations signify that UFMCO has met the highest standards in safety, occupational health, management and environmental practices. They are the highest levels of accreditation and recognition for quality management.
All three accreditations cover a range of services UFMCO provide including facilities management, environmental services, waste management, industrial cleaning, infrastructure engineering and landscaping.“These three highly-prized accreditations demonstrate that UFMCO is working to and maintaining the highest levels of quality within the organization,” said Bradley Robbins, General Manager of UFMCO. “It also means these levels of quality are passed down to the services we provide to our clients – the residents and visitors to The Pearl-Qatar.”
Formed in March 2011, UFMCO’s core business is the delivery of facilities management services. Geared initially to servicing The Pearl-Qatar, the company plans to expand gradually over time to major cities in Qatar, as well as to countries throughout the MENA region.

These services include MEP engineering, infrastructure maintenance, cleaning of roads and public areas, irrigation and landscaping, beach cleaning, maintaining fountains and water features, cleaning of the coastal waters and canals, pest control, waste collection and roads and lighting of public areas.
The Pearl-Qatar currently has more than 5000 residents, making in Doha’s fastest growing community and the Middle East’s most glamorous address.
