US expert to address Project Portfolio Management in UAE

Projects managers, who are either launching or sustaining a Project Portfolio Management initiative (PPM), will be given an expert insight into how best in class organisations went about accomplishing this during a free breakfast seminar delivered by a leading industry professional. 

Raed S. Haddad, Senior Vice President of Global Delivery Services at ESI International, an internationally renowned project management expert, will present the best practices for establishing and sustaining a project portfolio on Wednesday morning 12th of October 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dubai and again in the evening at the Rotana Hotel in Al Ain. 

“I will start by decomposing PPM to ensure we clarify what it is, what project managers should expect to do and what the current situation of PPM is nowadays.“ Said Raed Haddad, Senior Vice President, Global Delivery Services, ESI. 

“Finally, we will discuss the value of PPM for an organisation, you can hear how to solve some of these challenges and the lessons learned in the face of changing organisational and corporate strategies.“ added Haddad. 

During his presentation, Haddad will also present a PPM framework for companies to consider and assess the maturity or stage of their PPM, and depending where they are with their PPM evolution, the significant impact on realising what the best strategies are to apply. 

Two other breakfast seminars will also take place on Sunday 9th of October 2011 at the Hilton Hotel, Jeddah and on Monday 10th October 2011 at the Khozama Hotel, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 

Over the past 20 years Haddad has had extensive first hand project management experience on numerous programmes worldwide. As a professorial lecturer at The George Washington University, he currently teaches graduate level courses in project and programme management, cost, schedule and quality control and decision-making techniques.
