Volkswagen Middle East providing fleet solutions for the Middle East

Volkswagen Middle East and its partner Saad Buzwair Automotive Qatar announce the first of its fleet Taxis in Qatar. In collaboration with Mowasalat – the Qatar Transport Company, Volkswagen Middle East has supplied 300 all-new Jetta Taxis to Karwa Taxi Services in Qatar.
Commenting on the partnership, Marcus Butros, Sales Director Volkswagen Middle East said: “This partnership with Karwa Taxi Services symbolizes the first venture into fleet business for Volkswagen Middle East in Qatar. The initial handover of 300 vehicles is only the first installment to be received by Karwa, with a total number of Volkswagen fleet Taxis in Qatar reaching 500 by the first quarter of 2012. Volkswagen has great experience in this field throughout the world, and we’re confident that the all-new Jetta fleet will be well received. The Qatar deal is further evidence that Volkswagen has the right range of cars available to attract more and more fleet customers.”

The model has already sold over 9.6 million units around the world and is a car that is high-end, extremely spacious and efficient.
The all-new Jetta is 4.64 meters long, 1.45 meters tall and 1.78 meters wide, making this new and improved model nine centimeters longer than the previous model. Volkswagen has also restyled the interior right down to the last detail boasting nearly a meter of leg room, making the all-new Jetta the ideal passenger car and Taxi. Driver’s of these new cars will also experience comfort, and appreciate the high quality standard and technology with the all-new Jetta.
The German car manufacturer is one of the top producers and suppliers of taxi fleets in the world with experience that spans over many decades. Volkswagen has a plethora of models suitable for corporate customers including the Golf, Tiguan and Touareg amongst others. New York City has also added Volkswagen models to its fleet, transforming the vehicles into the classic yellow taxi recognised the world over.
Volkswagen aspires to be the number one car manufacturer in the world by 2018, and as part of this strategy there is a strong focus on fleet business. Volkswagen Middle East has launched the first of three sedan models ideal for fleet business; the first being the all-new Jetta launched in May 2011 with the Polo Sedan and the Passat joining the portfolio in 2012.
“This has been a year of change for Volkswagen Middle East, with a great emphasis being placed on ensuring we have the right models to cater to and meet our fleet business objectives. In this category the all-new Jetta has been one of our bestsellers. In the summer months of 2011 alone we sold more Jetta in the region than all of 2010.
