The Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center Host Exclusive Screening of Award-Winning Ocean with David Attenborough

The Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center, the largest dedicated marine research, rescue, rehabilitation and return center in the region, hosted a special edition of its Science Talk series, featuring an exclusive screening of Ocean with David Attenborough.

The acclaimed film, which won Best Science/Nature Documentary and Best Cinematography at the 2025 Critics Choice Documentary Awards, explores the challenges facing marine ecosystems while demonstrating how science, conservation and collective action can help restore and protect our oceans for generations to come.

Guests were also able to take part in a live virtual discussion with award-winning wildlife filmmaker and producer Keith Scholey, one of the long-time producers behind many of Sir David Attenborough's landmark documentaries. Scholey unpacked behind-the-scenes insights into the making of his critically-acclaimed work and discussed the role of environmental storytelling in inspiring conservation action.

The Science Talk series is part of the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center's ongoing commitment to advancing marine conservation through education, scientific engagement and community outreach. By bringing leading voices in science, conservation and environmental storytelling to Abu Dhabi, the series aims to inspire greater understanding of our oceans and encourage positive action to protect them.
