Private firms will be invited to participate in projects aimed at modernizing Egyptian commercial attaché offices abroad, alongside public companies, according to Al-Gomhuria.

Egyptian Prime Minster Atif Ubaid noted that the decision will initially apply to the commercial attaché office in Baghdad, following the recently signed free trade agreement between Iraq and Egypt.

The private sector will be involved mainly in installing new telecommunication networks and computer equipment in the offices. Commercial attaché offices are responsible for exploring and opening foreign markets for Egyptian products. — (Mena Report)
