The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) updated tourism industry officials on several infrastructure developments currently underway during a presentation held recently at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), Conference Hall.

The presentation was given by Abdelgader Elshabani, Transportation Planning Specialist, Planning Studies Section, Dubai Municipality.

The presentation, which saw key decision makers from the tourism industry and senior officials from the DTCM in attendance, focused on the progress being made on the AED 14.3 billion Dubai Light Rail project, the city’s first rail system for public transportation. When completed, the two-line, 72-kilometer mass transit network will address the city’s growing public transport needs.
