A senior Qatari security official has suggested that a huge shopping complex be built in Doha Industrial Area so that low-paid single workers staying there do not crowd the busy souqs in downtown Doha during weekends.
It would be wise to have a big shopping complex close to their accommodations in the Industrial Area, Col Mubarak Falaj Al Dhawisaid said, according to a local paper.
He said that the proposal to have a huge shopping facility in the Industrial Area was originally mooted by the Central Municipal Council (CMC).
